1. Agreement to Terms
By accessing or using Tanukeep ("the App," "the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the App.
These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User," "you") and Tanukeep ("we," "us," "our"), governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines.
2. Description of Service
Tanukeep is a personal finance management application that allows individuals to:
- Manually record and categorize income, expenses, and transfers.
- Track financial account balances across multiple accounts.
- Set and monitor savings goals.
- View financial summaries and spending trends.
Tanukeep is a manual-entry tool only. We do not connect to banks, process payments, provide financial advice, or access any external financial accounts on your behalf.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years of age to use Tanukeep. By using the App, you represent and warrant that:
- You are at least 18 years old.
- You have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.
- You will use the App only for lawful, personal purposes.
4. Account Registration
4.1 Google OAuth
You sign in to Tanukeep using your Google account via OAuth. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Google account. We are not liable for any loss resulting from unauthorized access to your Google account.
4.2 Account Responsibility
You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to notify us immediately at support@tanukeep.com if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.
4.3 One Account Per User
Each user may maintain one personal account. Creating multiple accounts to circumvent limitations is prohibited.
5. Subscription Plans and Billing
5.1 Free Tier
Tanukeep offers a free tier with access to core features. Free tier usage is subject to feature and usage limits as published on the App.
5.2 Paid Tier
Tanukeep offers a paid subscription ("Pro") that unlocks additional features. By subscribing:
- You authorize us (or our payment processor) to charge the applicable subscription fee on a recurring basis.
- Subscription fees are billed in advance for the period selected (monthly or annual).
- All fees are stated in the currency presented at checkout and are inclusive of applicable taxes where required by law.
5.3 Cancellation
You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We do not provide prorated refunds for partial billing periods, except where required by applicable law.
5.4 Refunds
All payments are final and non-refundable, except:
- Where required under Philippine consumer protection laws.
- Where we determine, at our sole discretion, that a refund is warranted.
5.5 Price Changes
We reserve the right to change subscription pricing with at least 30 days' notice via email or in-app notification. Continued use after the effective date of a price change constitutes your acceptance of the new pricing.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the App for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any local, national, or international law.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the App or its infrastructure.
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the App.
- Transmit malware, viruses, or any other malicious code.
- Use the App to store data belonging to another person without their consent.
- Circumvent any technical limitations or access controls in the App.
- Resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit the App or its content without our written permission.
7. User Data and Content
7.1 Your Data
All financial data you enter into Tanukeep remains yours. We do not claim ownership over your data.
7.2 License to Us
By using the App, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to store, process, and display your data solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you.
7.3 Data Accuracy
Tanukeep is a manual-entry tool. You are solely responsible for the accuracy and completeness of the data you enter. We are not liable for errors arising from incorrect data entry.
8. Intellectual Property
All content, design, code, trademarks, logos, and materials in the App are the property of Tanukeep or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute any part of the App without our prior written consent.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
We do not warrant that:
- The App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses.
- The information displayed in the App is accurate or complete.
- The App will meet your specific requirements.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by Philippine law, Tanukeep and its officers, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for:
- Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.
- Loss of data, revenue, profits, or goodwill.
- Damages arising from unauthorized access to your account or data.
- Any errors or inaccuracies in your manually entered financial data.
Our total cumulative liability to you for any claims arising under these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or PHP 1,000, whichever is greater.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Tanukeep and its officers, employees, and affiliates from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to:
- Your use of the App.
- Your violation of these Terms.
- Your violation of any applicable law or third-party right.
12. Termination
12.1 By You
You may delete your account at any time through the App settings. Upon deletion, your data will be permanently removed within 30 days.
12.2 By Us
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without notice, if:
- You violate these Terms.
- We reasonably believe your use poses a legal, security, or reputational risk.
- We discontinue the Service.
Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately.
13. Modifications to the Service
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time. We will provide reasonable notice for material changes where practicable. We are not liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the Service.
14. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notice at least 14 days before taking effect. Continued use of the App after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
15. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines, without regard to conflict of law principles.
Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If unresolved within 30 days, disputes shall be submitted to the appropriate courts of competent jurisdiction in the Philippines.
16. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
17. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Tanukeep regarding the use of the App and supersede all prior agreements or understandings.
